About

These Small Things is a London based interior design practice. It is owned and run by Cecile and Cathy, two designers with a passion for interiors and a desire to make refurbishing your home as sustainable as possible. We have both been working in interior design for over 10 years and in 2022 joined forces and set up a design practice together. 

We both have a background in design. Cathy studied and subsequently worked as a textile designer before moving in to the arts. She worked for many years at the Victoria and Albert Museum and retrained as an interior designer, studying at Chelsea School of Art in London in 2010. Cecile grew up in Paris and has lived in London since 2000. She studied History of Art and worked previously in architecture before retraining, also at Chelsea School of Art 

We both care deeply about the environment and will try where possible to source from eco-friendly designers, often mixing contemporary pieces with vintage and with a real appreciation of provenance and good design. 

We feel it’s important to consider the architecture and personality of the properties we work with. The client brief is key, understanding not only the style clients like but also how they use the space. Each project is completely personal resulting in a space that works for you.
